(1) The traditional practice of using animal glue: brush a layer of glue base with a mixture of 7:0 glue and water, dry with a large white powder or gypsum powder, plus an equal amount of zinc white, plus an equal amount of glue solution fully stir, and then add cooked flaxseed oil, the amount of which is 1/2 to 1/3 of the amount of white powder. The resulting primer is fluid and viscous, and can be used once or twice on a coated canvas.
(2) The practice of using latex: use a scraper to evenly scrape the ready-made latex onto a tautted canvas, and brush the emulsion several times if it is mixed with water.
